The First Presbyterian Church commissioned Weatherford Design to restore it's circa 1860 butternut pews. Weatherford Design's task was to restore 83 pews along with the two partitions that divide and support them. The congregation asked that the original finish and patina of all the objects be maintained. Pew Description: Butternut pews with walnut trim, ring molding and rosettes along with poplar seats with pine trim. Support boards constructed of poplar or pine. Seats covered with cushions. Seventy-six pews in the main section of the sanctuary, another seven located off to one side. back to gallery >> |
