		Weatherford Design Co. started out designing and building furniture for four different furniture stores in Austin, Texas in 1992. Bookcases and library furniture were our specialty. As time went by several companies and individuals sought our services - requesting specific furniture for their homes and offices. Consequently the variety of things we have designed and built is extensive: buffets, beds, entertainment centers, tables – the list goes on. As word of our studio and its services spread, people began to bring us furniture and architectural components that needed repair. And considering we were great admirers of historical architecture and antique furniture, we gladly took on these projects. We have repaired Victorian corbels, arts and crafts doors, and replaced missing parts on European armoires – again, the list goes on and on. In 1998 the company moved to Tecumseh, Michigan where we carry on the tradition of furniture design and creation with additional services involving architectural component restoration.
